Marcos Valdez grew up in the rural town of Tolleson, Arizona. He will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in the field of Mathematics. In his three years at Arizona State, Marcos has been involved in a plethora of organizations throughout campus which include Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc., Adelante, S.T.E.P. Multicultural Honor Society, and the Leadership Scholarship Program. This coming semester, Marcos will be a part of the Executive Board of HBSA by filling the Student Relations positions where he will be developing new and innovative ways to execute recruitment to yield the future leaders of HBSA. This past summer Marcos completed a research internship in Computational Mathematics in Weather Forecasting through ASU's Department of Mathematics. Additionally, he volunteered for the Hispanic College Fund at three of its Hispanic Youth Symposia youth conferences in Arizona, New Mexico, and Virginia. |
